अवतार माने जाने वाले, जगद्गुरू आदि शंकराचार्य
ने जिन चार पीठों की स्थापना की, उनमें उन्होने
पूरी प्रामाणिकता के साथ श्रीयंत्र की स्थापना की. जिसके परिणाम के रूप में आज भी चारों पीठ हर दृष्टि से, फिर वह चाहे साधनात्मक हो या फिर आर्थिक, पूर्णता से युक्त हैं.
श्रीयंत्र प्रमुख रूप से ऐश्वर्य तथा समृद्धि प्रदान करने वाली महाविद्या त्रिपुरसुंदरी महालक्ष्मी का सिद्ध यंत्र है. यह यंत्र सही अर्थों में यंत्रराज है. इस यंत्र को स्थापित करने का तात्पर्य श्री को अपने संपूर्ण ऐश्वर्य के साथ
आमंत्रित करना होता है.
जो साधक श्रीयंत्र के माध्यम से त्रिपुरसुंदरी महालक्ष्मी की साधना के लिए प्रयासरत होता है, उसके एक हाथ में सभी प्रकार के भोग होते हैं, तथा दूसरे हाथ में पूर्ण मोक्ष होता है. आशय यह कि श्रीयंत्र का साधक समस्त प्रकार के भोगों का उपभोग करता हुआ अंत में मोक्ष को प्राप्त होता है. इस प्रकार यह एकमात्र ऐसी साधना है जो एक साथ भोग तथा मोक्ष दोनों ही प्रदान करती है, इसलिए प्रत्येक साधक इस साधना को प्राप्त करने के लिए सतत प्रयत्नशील रहता है.
इस अद्भुत यंत्र से अनेक लाभ हैं, इनमें प्रमुख हैं :-
· श्रीयंत्र के स्थापन मात्र से भगवती लक्ष्मी
की कृपा प्राप्त होती है.
· कार्यस्थल पर इसका नित्य पूजन व्यापार में
विकास देता है.
· घर पर इसका नित्य पूजन करने से संपूर्ण दांपत्य सुख प्राप्त होता है.

विविध पदार्थों से निर्मित श्री यंत्र
श्रीयंत्र का निर्माण विविध पदार्थों से किया
जा सकता है. इनमें श्रेष्ठता के क्रम में प्रमुख हैं -
1 पारद श्रीयत्रं पारद को शिववीर्य कहा जाता है. पारद से निर्मित यह यंत्र सबसे दुर्लभ तथा प्रभावशाली होता है. यदि सौभाग्य से ऐसा पारद श्री यंत्र प्राप्त हो जाए तो रंक को भी वह राजा बनाने में सक्षम होता है.
२ स्फटिक श्रीयंत्र स्फटिक का बना हुआ श्री यंत्र अतिशीघ्र सफलता प्रदान करता है. इस यंत्र की निर्मलता के समान ही साधक का जीवन भी सभी प्रकार की मलिनताओं से परे हो जाता है.
३ स्वर्ण श्रीयंत्र स्वर्ण से निर्मित यंत्र संपूर्ण ऐश्वर्य को प्रदान करने में सक्षम माना गया है. इस यंत्र को तिजोरी में रखना चाहिए तथा ऐसी व्यवस्था रखनी चाहिये कि उसे कोई अन्य व्यक्ति स्पर्श न कर सके.
४ मणि श्रीयंत्र ये यंत्र कामना के अनुसार बनाये जाते हैं तथा दुर्लभ होते हैं
५ रजत श्रीयंत्र ये यंत्र व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों की उत्तरी
दीवाल पर लगाए जाने चाहिये. इनको इस प्रकार
से फ्रेम में मढवाकर लगवाना चाहिए जिससे इसको कोई सीधे स्पर्श न कर सके.
६ ताम्र श्रीयंत्र ताम्र र्निमित यंत्र का प्रयोग विशेष पूजन
अनुष्ठान तथा हवनादि के निमित्त किया जाता
है. इस प्रकार के यंत्र को पर्स में रखने से अनावश्यक खर्च में कमी होती है तथा आय के नए माध्यमों का
आभास होता है.
७ भोजपत्र श्रीयंत्र आजकल इस प्रकार के यंत्र दुर्लभ होते जा रहे हैं. इन पर निर्मित यंत्रों का प्रयोग ताबीज के अंदर डालने के लिए किया जाता है. इस प्रकार के यंत्र सस्ते तथा प्रभावशाली होते हैं.
उपरोक्त पदार्थों का उपयोग यंत्र निर्माण के लिए करना श्रेष्ठ है. लकडी, कपडा या पत्थर आदि पर श्रीयंत्र का निर्माण न करना श्रेष्ठ रहता है.
श्रीविद्या साधना संसार की सर्वश्रेष्ठ साधनाओ मे से एक हैं.मेरे अनुभव के आधार पर मै कह सकता हूँ कि ध्यान के बिना केवल मन्त्र का जाप करना श्री विद्या साधना नही है.बिना ध्यान के केवल दस प्रतिशत का ही लाभ मिल सकता है. श्रीविद्या साधना में ध्यान का विशेष महत्व हैं. इसलिए पहले ध्यान का अभ्यास करे व साथ-साथ जप करे,अन्त मे केवल ध्यान करें.
